Slow Cooker Honey-Lime Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
- 4-5 large skinless and boneless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) clear honey
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) chicken stock
- freshly squeezed juice of 2 limes
- 6 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Method
Step 1
Place chicken breasts in slow cooker.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Whisk well. Pour mixture over chicken and stir to coat evenly.
Step 3
Close slow cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 5-6 hours or until chicken breasts are tender.
Step 4
Remove cooked chicken from slow cooker. Using 2 forks, shred meat. Pour cooking liquid over and toss well.
