Slow Cooker Orange-Honey Ham

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds (1.44 kg) boneless smoked ham
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) orange juice
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) clear honey
  • 1 Β½ tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) cold water
  • 2 tablespoons dry sherry

Method

Step 1

Place a meat thermometer in the center of the ham. Place meat in the slow cooker.

Step 2

Add remaining ingredients, except cornstarch, water, and sherry. Cover slow cooker and cook on low-heat setting until thermometer registers 155 F (78C), about 3 hours.

Step 3

Remove cooked ham from the slow cooker. Transfer to a serving platter and keep warm.

Step 4

Measure 1 Β½ cups (370 ml) cooking liquid into a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Stir in combined cornstarch, water, and sherry, whisking until thickened.

Step 5

Pour over cooked ham. Slice meat and serve.
