Slow cooker pizza. Famous Italian pizza cooked in a slow cooker. Yummy. Adapted from http://www.thegunnysack.com
- 24 oz (720 g) jar pasta sauce
- 15 oz (450 g) jar Alfredo sauce
- 1 pound (480 g) uncooked ziti
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) water
- 1 ½ cups (370 g) mini pepperoni
- 3 cups (750 g) pizza sauce, divided
- 2 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese,divided
- fresh oregano, chopped
- grated Parmesan cheese
Lightly grease your slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. In a greased slow cooker, combine pasta sauce and Alfredo sauce. Add uncooked ziti and 1/2 cup water. Top the noodles with mini pepperoni and 1 ½ cups of shredded mozzarella cheese.
Mix well sauces, noodles, pepperoni, water, and mozzarella cheese. Pour 1 ½ cups of pizza sauce over mixture.
Cover slow cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 3-4 hours or until pasta is tender. After pasta is cooked through, sprinkle pizza casserole with remaining mozzarella cheese, ziti, chopped oregano, and grated Parmesan cheese. Cover slow cooker and allow the cheese to melt.
