Slow Cooker Pork Chops with Apricot Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
- 6 boneless pork chops
- salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) low-sodium chicken broth
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) apricot preserves
- 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2-3 teaspoons cornstarch
- fresh cilantro or parsley
Method
Step 1
Lightly season pork chops with salt and black pepper. Place in 6-quart (6 L) slow cooker. Pour in chicken broth.
Step 2
Cover the pot and cook on low-heat setting for 3 hours or until pork chops are tender.
Step 3
Opne the lid and remove cooked meat from the cooker. Transfer to a serving plate and keep warm.
Step 4
Switch heat to high and con tinue cooking for a further 10 minutes. Stir combined remaining ingredients into the broth, stirring 2-3 minutes.
Step 5
Turn off the slow cooker. Pour the sauce over cooked pork chops. Garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley.
