Pomegranate Margarita cocktail recipe. Margarita cocktail is the best choice for any party. A classic tequila-based Margarita on the rock with salt on the rim is everything I ever dream! For this cocktail, I used fresh pomegranate juice, homemade lime sugar (see recipe below), and homemade simple syrup (recipe follows)
Homemade Lime Sugar for Pomegranate Margarita Cocktail
Ingredients: 2 tablespoons (30 ml) granulated sugar, 1½ teaspoons (8 ml) grated lime zest (of 1 large lime)
Instructions: In a small mixing bowl, combine sugar and grated lime zest. Using your fingers, rub the sugar and zest together, then set aside for a few minutes (the best way is to make this lime sugar a day before).
Transfer the lime sugar onto a small plate and spread it out as wide as your cocktail glass.
Homemade Simple Syrup Recipe
Ingredients: 1 cup (250 ml) water, 1 cup (250 ml) granulated sugar
Instructions: In a small saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolved completely. Remove sugar mixture from the heat, set aside and allow cooling completely.
Pour cooled simple syrup into an air-tight container and refrigerate for up to 1 month. Use as an ingredient for Pomegranate Margarita Cocktail.
