Ingredients:

–  boneless and skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

– tablespoons soy sauce

-cornstarch

– olive oil

– grated fresh ginger

– orange juice

Air Fryer Lemon-Garlic Chicken

Ingredients

  • 6 boneless and skinless chicken thighs, cubed
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • olive oil
  • For Hoisin Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 5 teaspoons hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled and crushed
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoon sesame seeds

Method

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine cubed chicken and cornstarch. Toss well to coat chicken evenly.

Step 2

Preheat your air fryer to 400 F (200 C) for 5 minutes. Transfer chicken to the air fryer basket and give a nice coat with olive oil. Cook at 400 F (200 C) for 24 minutes, flipping once, during the cooking.

Step 3

In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, orange juice, ginger, and garlic. Bring to a boil over medium heat, whisking well until combined. When sugar is dissolved completely, stir in combined water and cornstarch.

Step 4

Mix in sesame seeds. Remove the saucepan from the heat and set aside for 5 minutes.

Step 5

Remove cooked chicken from the air fryer and transfer to a serving bowl. Pour the sauce over. Serve over the cooked rice, if desired.
