Hawaiian-Style Garlic Shrimp Recipe

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients: 2 pounds (960 g) raw shrimp, peeled and deveined, 50 garlic cloves, peeled and coarsely chopped, 1/4 cup (60 ml) dry white wine, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, 3 tablespoons clarified butter (ghee), 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice, fresh lemon wedges to serve

Instructions: In a resealable plastic bag, combine shrimp, garlic, dry white wine, olive oil, and seasoning. Seal the bag and shake well. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Melt ghee butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Remove marinated shrimp from the refrigerator. Strain out the liquid from the marinade. Pour into melted butter. Reduce heat to low and simmer the butter mixture for a few minutes. Working in batches, add shrimp and cook, stirring occasionally, until shrimp are pink and opaque. Using tongs, remove cooked shrimp from the skillet and place in the colander that’s placed over a bowl. Repeat this process with the remaining batch of shrimp.

Increase heat to high. Continue cooking until sauce reduced, and the garlic becomes golden brown, stirring constantly, for about 15 minutes. Return partially cooked shrimp to the skillet and cook, tossing often, until fully cooked, for about 2 minutes.

Sprinkle with a lemon juice. Serve over the cooked rice. Enjoy!

So, now is time to cook the best fried Hawaiian shrimp recipe

Best Fried Hawaiian Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (480 g) raw shrimp, shelled and deveined
  • 1 pineapple, cut along into halves
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon honey
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method

Step 1

With a knife accurately cut the flesh inside the pineapple, leaving the wall thickness of ~ 8-10 mm. Gently remove the pulp from pineapple. Cut stalks from the pulp. Slice pineapple into small pieces.

Step 2

In skillet, heat olive oil and fry the shrimps for 1-2 minutes. Add salt to taste.

Step 3

For Dressing: In a nonstick bowl pour the lemon juice, orange juice, liquid honey, a pinch of salt, freshly ground pepper and olive oil. Mix until smooth.

Step 4

Combine shrimp and pineapple slices in a bowl, pour the dressing and mix gently. Put pineapple with shrimps in pineapple halves, sprinkle with remaining dressing and garnish with whole shrimp and parsley.
