Ingredients
- 1 whloe (4 pounds) chicken, cut into pieces
- BBQ sauce
- 1 cup (250 ml) water
- salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 tablespoon white vinegar
Method
Step 1
Pour the water into an instant pot. Place the steamer basket.
Step 2
Season chicken pieces with salt and black pepper, then place them in the steamer. Close the pot and lock the lid. Set the machine to cook at high pressure. Set the timer to cook for 8 minutes.
Step 3
Using the natural Release method, bring pressure to normal. Carefully unlock and open the lid. Remove cooked chicken from the cooker and pat dry with paper towels.
Step 4
In a medium mixing bowl, combine 1/3 cup (80 ml) BBQ Sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and white vinegar. Stir well.
Step 5
Place cooked chicken pieces on an oven tray. Coat both sides with prepared bbq sauce.
Step 6
Place chicken pieces under the broiler. Broil for 5-8 minutes, or until chicken is browned and caramelized.
