Instant Pot Honey Sesame Chicken Breasts Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) chicken stock
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) clear honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes plus more for garnish
- 1 pound (480 g) boneless and skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2-3 tablespoons water
- toasted sesame seeds
Method
Step 1
In a 6-quart (6 L) electric instant pot, combine chicken stock, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Mix well, then add chicken breasts.
Step 2
Close the pot and lock the lid. Set the machine to cook at high pressure. Set the timer to cook for 8 minutes.
Step 3
Using the Quick Release method, bring pressure to normal. Carefully unlock and open the lid. Using tongs, remove cooked chicken breasts from the cooker and transfer to a cutting board.
Step 4
In a small mixing bowl, combine cornstarch and water. Mix until cornstarch dissoled completely. Stir the cornstarch mixture into the sauce.
Step 5
Switch the instant pot to the saute mode. Heat until bubbling and thickened.
Step 6
Slice chicken breasts and pour the sauce over. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and extra red pepper flakes. Serve hot.
