How to Prepare Instant Pot Bulgogi

The great news is that it’s really easy to make this recipe! You don’t need a lot of time, because you can make it quickly in an Instant Pot. And it tastes so good too!

To make this dish, you’ll need 1 pound of thin-cut steak. It’s okay to use a cheaper cut like sirloin, chuck, or strip.

  1. Cut your steak into slices that are ½ an inch thick. Cut the slices against the grain of the steak.

2. Turn on your Instant Pot. Set it to the Saute-High setting. When it’s hot, add some olive oil.

3. Add half of your steak and chopped onion to the pan at once and cook it for roughly two minutes on each side.

4. Take the first steak out of the pan and put it on a plate. Do the same with the second steak.

5. Once all your steaks have been nicely browned, put them back in the Instant Pot.

6. Mix together 1/4 cup of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of rice wine vinegar, 1 tablespoon of mirin, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, 1 minced clove of garlic, 1 teaspoon of freshly grated ginger, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, and 1 tablespoon of sriracha in a small bowl. Whisk everything together until it’s all combined.

7. Pour the sauce into the Instant Pot and mix it with the other ingredients. Stir everything together really well.

8. Attach the lid to your Instant Pot and make sure the valve is closed. Set the timer for 8 minutes and press the “Pressure Cook” button.

9. Release the pressure by turning the valve to the position that lets the air escape.

10. Set your Instant Pot to the sauté setting. Cook the sauce for 1-2 minutes until it is as thick as you want it.

11. Serve the dish with hot rice, and top it with chopped green onion or parsley.
