  • 2 ½ pounds (1.2 kg) boneless beef short ribs
  • 1/4 cup (60 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (250 g) chopped onion
  • 1 cup (250 ml) beef broth
  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) red wine vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Step 1

In a big plastic bag, combine all-purpose flour, salt, and black pepper. Add beef short ribs and shake well to coat.

In the same skillet, combine remaining ingredients. Stir well and, stirring, bring to a boil.

Step 5

Pour mixture over the ribs in slow cooker. Cover slow cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 9 hours.

Step 6

Remove cooked beef ribs from slow cooker and transfer to the serving platter. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley and serve with cooked vegetables.
