Slow Cooker Breakfast Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
- 13oz (390 g) spicy Italian ground sausage
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 2 bell peppers. cored and diced
- 12 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup (250 ml) milk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 handfulls chopped fresh spinach
- 1Β½ cups shredded cheese
Method
Step 1
Grease a slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
Step 2
Cook ground sausage in a pan, stirring and breaking with wooden spatula. Add mushrooms and bell peppers. Continue cooking and stirring occasionally, until soft. Remove the mixture from the pan and transfer to the crock pot.
Step 3
In a large mixing bowl, combine beaten eggs and milk. Stir well. Whisk in all dry ingredients. Pour the egg mixture over sausage mixture. Stir in chopped spinach and shredded cheese.
Step 4
Cover the pot and cook on a low-heat setting for 6 hours.
