Slow cooker chicken Parmesan.Chicken breasts with Parmesan cheese,mozzarella cheese and bread crumbs cooked in slow cooker.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless and skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup 9125 g) Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup (60 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt and 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 large egg,beaten
  • shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Marinara sauce

Method

Step 1

Pour olive oil into slow cooker.

Step 2

In a medium mixing bowl,combine bread crumbs

Step 3

Pour beaten egg into the small bowl. Dip chicken breasts into beaten egg,then into bread crumb mixture.

Step 4

Place chicken breasts in the bottom of slow cooker. Top with 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese. Pour marinara sauce over. Close slow cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 5 hours or until chicken is done.

Step 5

Remove cooked chicken and sauce from slow cooker. Transfer to serving platter. Serve with cooked pasta.
