Slow cooker cranberry-stuffed apples. Baking apples stuffed with cranberries and walnuts and cooked in a slow cooker. Very delicious dessert. Be sure to check if all apples will fit into your slow cooker before peeling them.
Slow Cooker Cranberry-Stuffed Apples
Ingredients
- 5 medium baking apples
- 1/3 cup fresh cranberries, chopped
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon fround nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
Method
Step 1
Peel each apple about 1/4 of the way down. Remove core and seeds.
Step 2
In a small mixing bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Mix well.
Step 3
Spoon cranberry mixture into the center of each baking apple. Place stuffed apples in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on a low-heat setting for 4-5 hours or until apples are tender.
