Lay your ham on top of the brown sugar, then pour the honey over it. Add the garlic powder, cinnamon, and mustard to the honey before placing it in your slow cooker. The directions will specify how long you cook this on low or high heat.
3. Crock Pot Ham with Pineapple-Coconut Rice-This ham is cooked in pineapple juice that’s been reduced to make its own sweet syrup! You’ll need some brown sugar, pineapple juice, salt, diced green bell pepper, red onion, jalapeno peppers (seeds and all), ham chunks, soy sauce, coconut milk, red pepper flakes (optional), and pineapple chunks. Lay the ham on top of the brown sugar before adding all the other ingredients to your slow cooker. Cook this for 2-3 hours on low heat or until your ham is tender.

Ingredients
- 2 carrots, peeled and roughly chopped
- 2 yellow onions, peeled and roughly chopped
- 4 pounds (2 kg) boneless gammon
- 1/2 cinnamon stick
- 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- 2 cups (500 ml) Coca Cola
- 4 cups (1 L) apple juice
- To Make a Glaze:
- 6 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon rum
Method
Step 1
Place the gammon in a slow cooker. Position the vegetables around it. Add bay leaves, ground cinnamon, black peppercorns, and cloves. Pour in the liquids.
Step 2
Cover the pot and cook on a low-heat setting for 7-8 hours.
Step 3
Turn off the cooker and open the lid. Remove cooked gammon (ham) from the slow cooker and set aside. Discard the solids and save the cooking liquid (use it for another purpose)
Step 4
Remove the rind form the gammon joint. Cut the fat in a diamond pattern, scoring them gently so they do not poke too deep.
Step 5
In a small mixing bowl, combine all glaze ingredients. Mix well and warm the mixture in the microwave. Brush the cooked gammon (ham) with the glaze.
Step 6
Roast the gammon in the center of the oven at 350 F (175 C) for about 30 minutes, or until the ham is golden brown, basting with the glaze every 10 minutes.
Step 7
Cover the ham with aluminum foil and set aside for 15 minutes before carving. Transfer it to a large plate. carve and serve warm.
