Slow cooker hot chicken wings. Chicken wings with honey and hot pepper sauce cooked in a slow cooker. Sweet and spicy! You may also like Tangy Chicken Wings, another delicious appetizer cooked in a crock pot/slow cooker.
Slow Cooker Hot Chicken Wings
Ingredients
- 40 chicken wings, rinsed and patted dry
- 2 teaspoons creole seasoning
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 ½ cups (370ml) hot pepper sauce
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 tablespoons vinegar
- 4 teaspoons clear honey
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Method
Step 1
Preheat broiler. Grease broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Step 2
Sprinkle both sides of chicken wings with creole seasoning and black pepper. Broil 6 inch (15 cm) from heat for 10 minutes. Turn chicken wings over and boil for a further 10 minutes. Transfer broiled wings to slow cooker.
Step 3
In a mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Mix well and pour mixture over chicken.
Step 4
Cover slow cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 5-6 hours, stirring every 60 minutes.
