Slow cooker hot muffuletta.This is a new version of New Orleans favorite! Very easy and delicious recipe cooked in slow cooker
- Olive Relish (see recipe below)
- 1 round loaf,cut into half
- 4 oz (120 g) Italian salami,thinly sliced
- 4 oz (120 g0 smoked ham
- 4 oz (120 g) reduced-fat provolone cheese
Spread half of Olive Relish on bottom of bread. Top with sliced salami,ham,provolone cheese,remaining Olive Relish and top of bread.
Press sandwich together firmly and wrap in aluminum foil.
Line bottom of slow cooker with aluminum foil. Arrange sandwich in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 2 hours. Remove cooked sandwich form slow cooker.Cut into wedges and serve.
Olive Relish Ingredients: 1/2 cup (125 g ) pitted and chopped green and black olives 1/2 cup (125 g) chopped tomatoes 1/4 cup 960 g0 freshly chopped parsley 1/4 cup 960 ml) olive oil freshly squeezed juice of half lemon freshly ground pepper to taste
In a mixing bowl,combine all ingredients,except black pepper. Mix well and season to taste with black pepper.
