Slow Cooker Keto Mongolian Beef Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds (720 g) beef flank steak, sliced against grain
- 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) coconut Aminos
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) honey
- 1/2 teaspoon pure maple extract
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Method
Step 1
In a large dip bowl, combine sliced beef and gelatin powder. Toss well until evenly coated. Transfer seasoned meat to 6-quart (6 L) slow cooker.
Step 2
In a small mixing bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Mix well, then pour the mixture over steak. Stir well to coat.
Step 3
Cover the pot and cook on low-heat setting for 4-6 hours.
Step 4
Turn off the cooker and open the lid. Stir beef mixture before serving. Serve over cooked rice. (sprinkle with fresh chopped green onions (optional))
