Slow Cooker Melt-in-Your-Mouth Sausages
Ingredients
- 2 pounds (960 g) sweet Italian sausages, sliced
- 48 oz (1.44 L) jar spaghetti sauce
- 6 oz (180 ml) can tomato paste
- 1 large gren pepper, cored, seeded, and sliced
- 1 large red bell pepper, cored, seeded, and sliced
- 1 large yellow onion, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 cup (250 ml) water
Method
Step 1
Place sliced sausages in a large nonstick skillet. Cover with water. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes, then drain.
Step 2
In a 6-quart (6 L) slow cooker, combine remaining ingredients. Mix well. Add simmered sausages.
Step 3
Close the pot. Cook on low heat setting for 6 hours.
Step 4
Turn off the cooker and opn the lid. Stir vegetables and sausages well before serving. Transfer to serving plates. Serve hot.
