Slow cooker peppered beef. This slow cooker peppered beef recipe is so tender and juicy, that you’ll never want to eat another cut of beef any other way.

What are the Benefits of a Slow Cooker?

A slow cooker is a kitchen appliance that cooks food slowly. It is also known as a crock pot, which is a trademarked name for this appliance. The slow cooking process can be used to cook beans, meat, soups, stews and other types of food.

It can be used to make dishes that are not possible in other cooking methods. For example, it can be used to make dishes with complex ingredients like sauces or curries. This is because the heat of the slow cooker does not evaporate the water content in these ingredients quickly and allows them to simmer for hours without burning.

Slow cookers are also very energy efficient when compared to other cooking methods like frying or baking which require more energy than necessary. This is because they use only as much energy as needed to cook, which means less energy is wasted. With all these benefits, you might be wondering why they don’t use more electricity than they do. The answer is that the power draw on an electric cooking appliance doesn’t go up with time unless there is a problem with it – such as a burnt dish or the dishwasher not being turned off before cooking begins.

Slow Cooker Peppered Beef Recipe – A Slow Cooked Dish with Complex and Rich Flavors

In this recipe, we will be using a slow cooker to cook the beef. Slow cooking is an easy way of cooking that requires little to no attention and can be used to cook many different types of dishes. The slow cooker will not only cook the beef but also make it tender and juicy.

The first thing we need in this recipe is a good quality cut of beef. I like to use a beef round steak or pot roast for this dish because they have enough fat content and are usually on the cheaper side compared to other cuts of meat. For this dish, I am using a beef round steak because I want it to be more on the tough side so that it can break down while being cooked in the crockpot.

The next thing we need is some spices and seasonings. I like to use some garlic and ginger. Add also a soy sauce. The last thing we need is red and green bell peppers.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds (960 g) lean beef round steak,thinly sliced
  • 1 large green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 large red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup (250 ml) nonfat beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1½ teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Method

Step 1

Grease nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Preheat over medium-high heat. Add sliced beef steak and cook, stirring, until browned.

Step 2

Place peppers and onion on the bottom of the slow cooker. Top with cooked beef(avoid stacking meat slices directly on top of one another).

Step 3

In a mixing bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Stir well and pour over meat.

Step 4

Cover slow cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 8-10 hours.

Step 5

Serve slow cooker peppered beef hot.
