Ingredients
- 1 pound (480 g) cod fillets
- kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- lemon wedges for serving
- tartar sauce
Method
Step 1
Pt fillets dry with paper towels. Season on both sides with kosher salt and black pepper.
Step 2
In a shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs and Old Bay seasoning. Mix well.
Step 3
In a second bowl, place the beaten egg. In a third shallow bowl, place all-purpose flour.
Step 4
Coat seasoned cod in flour first, then in egg, and finally, in breadcrumbs mixture.
Step 5
Preheat your air fryer to 400 F (200 C) for 5 minutes. Place cod fillets in the air fryer basket. Fry at 400 F (200 C) for 10-12 minutes or until the fish is golden.
Step 6
Serve hot with lemon wedges and tartar sauce.
