Air Fryer Breaded Chicken Breasts

Ingredients

  • 3 medium boneless and skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 large eggs, whisked
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) marinara sauce
  • 3-6 slices Mozzarella cheese

Method

Step 1

In a small mixing bowl, combine breadcrumbs, onion and garlic powders, and grated Parmesan. Mix well.

Step 2

Dredge chicken breasts in whisked egg, then cover in breadcrumb mixture, shaking off excess. Preheat your air fryer to 400 F (200 C) for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray. Carefully place the chicken inside.

Step 4

Air fry at 360 F (180 C) for 15-18 minutes. Cooking time depends on air fryer model and thickness of chicken.

Step 5

Open the basket. Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the cooked chicken breasts. Top with Mozzarella slices.

Step 6

Air fry for a further 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Step 7

Sprinkle with Italian seasoning. Serve hot over the cooked Italian spaghetti.
