Ingredients
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1/2 cup cornflakes
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 6 chicken drumsticks
- pinch of salt
Method
Step 1
In a shallow bowl, combine beaten egg and water. Mix well and set aside.
Step 2
In a second shallow bowl, combine all dry ingredients. Stir well.
Step 3
Preheat your air fryer to 400 F (200 C) for 5 minutes.
Step 4
Rub chicken drumsticks lightly with salt. Dip each drumstick into the egg mixture first, then in the dry mixture, rolling them and pressing down.
Step 5
Spray the top of drumsticks with nonstick cooking spray. Place chicken, sprayed side down, into the air fryer basket. Spray the top of the chicken with more cooking spray.
Step 6
Fry at 400 F (200 C) for 20 minutes, then carefully turn them over. Reduce the temperature to 325 F (160 C) and fry for a further 10 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken is 165 F (80 C).
