Air Fryer Lamb Meatballs with Tomato Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1/3 yellow onion, peeled and finely chopped
- 1 cove garlic, peeled and minced
- 1 pound (480 g) ground lamb
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1½ teaspoons finely chopped fresh oregano
- 1./2 cup pitted black olives, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Method
Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a medium nonstick skillet. Add onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, but not browned, for about 4-5 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook for a further 1 minute.
Step 2
Remove cooked onion and garlic from the skillet and transfer to a mixing bowl. Add the remaining ingredients. Mix well.
Step 3
Divide the lamb mixture into 3-4 equal portions. Form the hamburgers.
Step 4
Preheat your air fryer to 400 F (200 C) for 5 minutes.
Step 5
Place lamb burgers in the air fryer basket (you may need to work in batches) Fry at 370 F (185 C) for 8 minutes, then flip them over and cook for another 8 minutes.
