Ingredients

  • nonstick cooking spray
  • 1¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) safflower oil
  • 1¼ cups (310 ml) orange juice, divided
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Method

Step 1

Grease a baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Set it aside.

Step 2

In a medium mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornmeal, white sugar, baking soda, safflower oil, 1 cup (250 ml) of orange juice, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

Step 3

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and place it in the air fryer. Bake at 350 F (175 C) for 23 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
