Baked blueberry banana bread. Learn how to make blueberry banana bread in an oven. This recipe makes a delicious banana bread with juicy blueberries added to it. It’s the perfect snack or dessert you can enjoy, and it can even be frozen for later!
My kids love to eat bananas so quickly that I never have any leftovers. To make sure I have some bananas to bake with, I hide them away. This bread is a huge hit in our house – it’s a classic treat made even better with the addition of blueberries.
How to Make Blueberry Banana Bread
How to make blueberry banana bread? It is easy! This recipe is like most others in its category. It has a few differences that make a big impact. You’ll add lots of fresh blueberries and yogurt to give it extra moisture. You can also make it with frozen blueberries, but they’ll likely turn the batter purple when they melt.
Before you add blueberries to the batter, give them a quick toss in some flour. This will keep them from sinking to the bottom. You can leave the bread just like this with the blueberry and banana flavours, or add your touch. You could try adding lemon or orange zest, white chocolate chips, sliced almonds, or coconut. I add more blueberries to the top of the batter before baking. The outcome is a stunning loaf of banana bread!

How Do You Freeze Baked Banana Bread?
If you can’t finish your banana bread, you can save it for later. Wrap the entire loaf in plastic wrap and store it in a resealable bag in the freezer for up to two months. When you’re ready to eat it, take it out and let it thaw at room temperature. You can also wrap individual slices in plastic wrap and store them in the freezer.
These can be thawed at room temperature or heated up in the microwave for 20-30 seconds. This blueberry banana bread is so delicious – you’ll never want regular banana bread again! Kids love taking it in their lunch boxes, and you can make it even more special by adding a sweet glaze. It’s so good, you can even call it a dessert!
