Classic Mojito Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1²⁄³ oz (50 ml) white rum
  • 1 teaspoon caster sugar
  • 2/3 oz (20 ml) freshly squeezed lime juice
  • bunch fresh mint on the stem
  • Club Soda
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters

Method

Step 1

Put the caster sugar and lime juice in the bottom of highball or cocktail glass with a thick base.

Step 2

Add the mean leaves and gently release the flavor, without brushing it, using the back of a bar spoon. Add white rum and fill the glass with crushed ice. Stir well.

Step 3

Top up with club soda and stir again.

Step 4

Add Angostura bitters to cut through the sweetness. Garnish classic mojito cocktail with a sprig of mint.
