Fried shrimp appetizers. Very easy and delicious appetizers.
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon rice flour
- 4 oz (120 g) baby shrimp.peeled and deveined
- 4 oz (120 g) bean sprouts,rinsed
- 1 large egg,beaten
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) fresh cold water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon fish sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
- cooking oil
In a mixing bowl,combine all ingredients,except cooking oil. Mix well and set aside.
In a wok,preheat cooking oil over high heat(use enough oil for dip frying). Reduce heat to low.
Using a tablespoon,gently drop 1 tablespoon of mixture into hot oil. Fry mixture in 2-3 batches until both sides are golden brown(2-3 minutes per side).
Using a slotted spoon,remove fried shrimp appetizers from the heat. Pat dry with paper towel. Serve hot.
