- 1 small yellow onion, peeled and diced
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
- 1 pound Itlaian sausages, case removed
- 2 cups (500 ml) chicken broth
- 20 oz (600 g) package frozen cheese tortellini
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) heavy cream
- 4 oz (120 g) diced cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Heat the canola oil in an electric instant pot turned to saute mode. Add onion and garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, for 3-4 minutes, or until softened. Add sausages and continue cooking and stirring occasionally, for a further 7-10 minutes.
