Oven Baked Cheese Biscuits
Ingredients
- 5 oz (150 g) plain flour
- 5 oz (150 g) unsalted butter
- 3 oz (90g) mature Cheddar cheese,grated
- 2 oz (60 g) red Leicester cheese,grated
- cayenne pepper
- freshly ground black pepper
- 1 egg yolk
Method
Step 1
In a mixing bowl,combine melted butter and flour. Add the grated cheese,cayenne pepper and season with black pepper. Add the egg yolk and mix well.
Step 2
Place the mixture in refrigerator for 30 minutes. Roll the dough out onto a floured board to a thickness of 5 mm. Cut with biscuit cutters.
Step 3
Arrange the biscuits onto greased baking dish. Place the grilling rack in turbo oven. Put baking tray with biscuits on high rack of turbo oven. Set turbo oven temperature to 410°F (210°C). Cook biscuits for 8-12 minutes until golden.
Step 4
.Chill oven baked cheese biscuits on a cooling rack. Serve with sweet chili sauce.
