  • 1 cup (250 ml) ruby port
  • 2 cinnamon sticks, broken in half
  • 12 oz (360 g) bag fresh cranberries, picked over
  • 1 cup dried tart cherries
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) water
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar


Step 1

Combine port and cinnamon sticks, in a pressure cooker turned to the browning mode, combine port and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil. Switch the cooker to sauté mode and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and stir well until sugar dissolves.

Step 2

Close the pot and lock the lid. Set the machine to cook at high pressure. Set the timer to cook for 4 minutes.

Step 3

Using the natural Release method, bring pressure to normal. Carefully unlock and open the lid. Transfer the sauce to a serving bowl. Cover and refrigerate until chilled completely.
