Pressure cooker cranberry sauce recipe. Cranberry port sauce with tart dried cherries cooker in a pressure cooker. Use a 5-7 quart (5-7 L) pressure cooker for this cranberry sauce recipe.
Pressure Cooker Cranberry Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup (250 ml) ruby port
- 2 cinnamon sticks, broken in half
- 12 oz (360 g) bag fresh cranberries, picked over
- 1 cup dried tart cherries
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) water
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
Method
Step 1
In a pressure cooker turned to the browning mode, combine port and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil. Switch the cooker to sauté mode and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and stir well until sugar dissolves.
Step 2
Close the pot and lock the lid. Set the machine to cook at high pressure. Set the timer to cook for 4 minutes.
Step 3
Using the natural Release method, bring pressure to normal. Carefully unlock and open the lid. Transfer sauce to a serving bowl. Cover and refrigerate until chilled completely.
