Ingredients

  • 1¼ pounds (600 g) pork loin roast
  • 4 cups (1 L) applesauce
  • olive oil
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method

Step 1

In a large nonstick pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the pork loin with salt and black pepper on both sides. Cook in hot oil until lightly browned.

Step 2

Remove browned meat from the pan and transfer to a 6-quart (6 L) slow cooker. Pour the applesauce over the meat.

Step 3

Close the pot and cook on a low-heat setting for 8 hours, or until the pork is tender.
