Slow Cooker Applesauce Pork Roast Recipe
Ingredients
- 1¼ pounds (600 g) pork loin roast
- 4 cups (1 L) applesauce
- olive oil
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
Method
Step 1
In a large nonstick pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the pork loin with salt and black pepper on both sides. Cook in hot oil until lightly browned.
Step 2
Remove browned meat from the pan and transfer to a 6-quart (6 L) slow cooker. Pour the applesauce over the meat.
Step 3
Close the pot and cook on low-heat setting for 8 hours or until pork is tender.
Step 4
Turn off the cooker and open the lid. Using tongs, remove cooked pork from the pot and transfer to a cutting board. Slice it.
Step 5
Serve sliced pork with apple sauce and cooked green beans. Enjoy!
