Slow cooker chicken Afritad recipe. This chicken recipe is a hearty, healthy dish of Nigerian-style stewed chicken and vegetables.

Is Nigerian chicken Afritad spicy?

The answer to this question is not straightforward. Different people may have different opinions about what constitutes Afritad. I didn’t use spices other than black pepper in this recipe. Some people think that the only way to make Afritad spicy is by adding hot peppers while others insist that it should be eaten with vinegar. It is up to the individual person to decide if Nigerian chicken Afritad is spicy or not because it’s all in the taste buds of the eater.

What is the history of Nigerian chicken Afritad?

Nigerian chicken Afritad is a popular dish in the region. It has a long history of over 500 years.

The traditional version of chicken Afritad is made out of the fried chicken with boiled rice, and it is usually served with a sauce made from garri or pounded yam.

As time went on, Nigerian people started to add other ingredients to the dish such as red pepper, onion, ginger, and spices like curry powder and turmeric.

In Nigeria, this dish is most often eaten with nkwobi (a type of meatball) or egusi soup (which contains ground melon seeds).

How do you serve Nigerian chicken Afritad?

Nigerian chicken Afritad is a delicacy served at parties and gatherings. It consists of cooked chicken meat combined with vegetables and other ingredients to create an extremely flavorful dish. It is served with boiled plantain and white rice.

Is the 1 cup of olive oil a typo? That seems like a lot of oil! Other Chicken Afritad recipes I’ve found us less than half that amount of oil.
