Slow cooker chicken in mushroom-wine sauce. Chicken breasts with fresh mushrooms,dry white wine and cream of chicken soup cooked in slow cooker.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (480 g) boneless and skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can (10 ¾ oz (355 ml)) low-fat cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 tablespoon skim milk
  • 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup frozen chopped onions,thawed and drained
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) dry white wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Method

Step 1

Grease inside of slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Arrange chicken breasts in slow cooker.

Step 2

In a medium bowl,combine remaining ingredients. Mix well and pour mixture over chicken breasts and turn to coat

Step 3

Cover slow cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 8-10 hours. Serve slow cooker chicken in mushroom-wine sauce over cooked rice.
