Slow Cooker Easy Mexican Dip Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound (480 g) ground beef
- 1 medium yellow onion, peeled and diced
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 2pounds (960 g) Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 2 tablespoons diced jalapeno peppers
- 1 tablespoon Taco seasoning
- 2 10 oz (300 ml) each)) cans Rotel Tomato&Chilies
- chopped green onions, for garnish
Method
Step 1
Cook the ground beef in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until browned. Add onions and garlic. Continue cooking, stirring, and breaking meat with a wooden spatula, for a few minutes.
Step 2
Pour in 1/4 cup (60 ml) water. Stir in jalapenos and Taco seasoning. Cook, stirring occasionally, for a further 10 minutes.
Step 3
Remove beef mixture from the skillet and transfer to a slow cooker. Add cubed cheese, then pour in Rotel tomatoes.
Step 4
Cover the pot and cook on low-heat setting for 1 hour.
Step 5
Tuirn off the cooker and open the lid. Mix the dip well before serving.
Step 6
Serve warm with Mexican nachos and chopped green onions. Enjoy!
