Slow cooker honey-mustard chicken wings. Chicken wings with delicious homemade honey-mustard sauce cooked in slow cooker.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds (1.44 kg) chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) clear honey
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons spicy brown mustard
  • 1 clove garlic,peeled and minced
  • 4 lemon slices

Method

Step 1

Preheat broiler.

Step 2

Cut each wing at joint to make 2 pieces. Season with salt and black pepper.

Step 3

Place on broiler pan and broil 4-5 inches (10-12 cm) from heat about 5 minutes per side. Transfer broiled chicken wings to slow cooker.

Step 4

In a mixing bowl,combine honey,barbecue sauce,mustard and garlic. Mix well and pour mixture over chicken wings. Top with lemon slices.

Step 5

Cover crock pot and cook on low-heat setting for 4-5 hours. Before serving,remove and discard lemon slices.

Step 6

Serve slow cooker honey-mustard chicken wings hot.
