Strawberry Margarita Cocktail

Ingredients

  • granelated sugar
  • 1 lime wedge
  • 1½ oz (45 ml) blue agave blanco tequila
  • 3/4 oz (25 ml) freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Aperol
  • 1½ oz (45 ml) Strawberry puree(see recipe below)
  • 6-10 ice cubes
  • For Strawberry Puree:
  • 15-20 fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Method

Step 1

Moisten the rim of martini glass with the lime wedge and upend the glass onto granulated sugar to crust the rim.

Step 2

In a cocktail shaker, combine remaining ingredients. Cover shaker and shake well until frothy and cold.

Step 3

Strain mixture into sugar-rimmed margarita glass. Garnish with lime slice and serve immediately.

Step 4

Strawberry Purée: Cut fresh strawberries into halves. In a blender or food processor, combine strawberry halves and sugar. Process until smooth.

Step 5

Pour mixture into a storage container.
