Slow cooker honey-mustard chicken wings. Chicken wings with delicious homemade honey-mustard sauce cooked in a slow cooker
How to Make Honey-Mustard Chicken Wings
To make these wings, start by preparing the honey-mustard sauce. In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup (125 ml) of clear honey and 1/2 cup (125 ml) of barbecue sauce. Add 2 tablespoons of spicy brown mustard for an extra kick of flavor. Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
Next, place 3 pounds (1.44 kg) of chicken wings in the slow cooker. Pour the honey-mustard sauce over the wings, making sure they are evenly coated. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 4-5 hours or on high heat for 2-3 hours. The slow cooking process allows the flavors to meld together and the chicken to become tender.
Once the wings are cooked, you can serve them as is or broil them in the oven for a few minutes to achieve a crispy exterior. The choice is yours!
These slow cooker honey-mustard chicken wings are perfect for game day gatherings, parties, or even as a weeknight dinner option. The combination of sweet honey, tangy mustard, and smoky barbecue sauce creates a delightful flavor profile that will leave everyone wanting more. Enjoy these finger-licking wings with your favorite dipping sauce and watch them disappear in no time.

How to Store Leftovers
Leftovers are inevitable when cooking a large batch of slow cooker honey-mustard chicken wings. To ensure that you can enjoy these delicious wings for another meal, it’s important to store them properly. Here are some tips on how to store your leftovers.
First, let the wings cool down to room temperature before storing them. This will prevent condensation from forming inside the container, which can lead to sogginess. Once cooled, transfer the wings to an airtight container or a resealable plastic bag.
To maintain the flavor and texture of the wings, it’s best to store them separate from the sauce. Place the wings in one container and the sauce in another. This will prevent the wings from becoming too saucy and losing their crispiness.
Label the containers with the date and contents to keep track of when they were prepared. Leftover wings can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. If you want to keep them for longer, you can freeze them for up to 3 months.
When reheating the wings, it’s best to use the oven or an air fryer to maintain their crispy texture. Simply place the wings on a baking sheet and heat them at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes, or until heated through.
By following these storage tips, you can enjoy the deliciousness of slow cooker honey-mustard chicken wings even after they’ve been cooked. So don’t let any leftovers go to waste and savor the flavors for another meal.
