Ingredients

  • ✔️ 10 oz (300 g) uncooked penne pasta
  • ✔️ 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • ✔️ 2½ cups (625 ml) water
  • ✔️ 1/2 pound (240 g) Italian sausage, broken into bite-size pieces
  • ✔️ 15 oz (450 ml) tomato sauce
  • ✔️ 2 cuos fresh baby spinach
  • ✔️ 1/3 cup (80 ml) heavy cream
  • ✔️ dash of freshly ground black pepper

Method

Step 1

Add the penne pasta, salt, and water to the instant pot. The water should cover the pasta. Stir well. Top the pasta with sausage pieces and tomato paste. Do not stir.

Step 2

Close the pot and lock the lid. Set the machine to cook at high pressure. Set the timer to cook for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Using the natural Release method, bring pressure to normal. Carefully unlock and open the lid. Stir in the spinach and heavy cream. Serve hot.
