  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more to taste
  • dash of freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 up (125 ml) buttermilk
  • 2½ cups Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 pound 9480 g) boneless and skinless chicken breasts, cubed


Step 1

In a medium mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Mix well.

Step 2

In a separate bowl, combine beaten eggs and buttermilk. Whisk well.

Step 3

Add Panko breadcrumbs to a third bowl.,

Season cubed chicken with salt and black pepper. Dip one chicken cube at a time in the flour mixture, then in the egg mixture, and finely in breadcrumbs. Repeat with remaining chicken.

Preheat your air fryer to 4-00 F (200 C) for 5 minutes. Spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray. Working in batches, place seasoned chicken in the greased basket. Cook for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through. Repeat with remaining chicken.

Step 6

Serve fried popcorn chicken with ketchup.
