Ingredients
- 1 pound (480 g) pork belly, chunked
- 6 garlic cloves, peeled
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 3 cups (750 ml) water
Method
Step 1
Combine all ingredients in an electric instant pot. Stir well. Cover the pot and lock the lid. Set the machine to cook at high pressure. Set the timer to cook for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Using the natural release method, bring pressure to normal. Carefully unlock and open the lid. Remove cooked pork belly from the cooker and transfer to a clean work surface. Allow to cool to room temperature.
Step 3
Preheat your air fryer to 400 F (200 C) for 5 minutes. Grease the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray.
Step 4
Cut each pork chunk into two slices. Place in the greased basket. Air fry at 400 F (200 C) for 15 minutes or until the pork belly is crispy.
