What is Korean Galbi Beef Short Ribs?

I have Korean short ribs and they’re honestly some of the best I’ve ever made myself. I found it easy to find them at a grocery store and can be easily flavored. Korean short ribs are becoming more and more popular and have been popping up in grocery stores. They’re usually found in Asian markets but they’re increasing in popularity enough that they might be available locally too! You can ask your butcher or check the beef section of your store, you may be able to find them.

If you love Korean barbecue, Korean short ribs are a must-have! They’re great for cooking any way from classically, slow braising to smoking. Check out this recipe that comes together in under 20 minutes for a tasty showcase of the tender meat.

Short ribs are a big part of Korean cuisine. They’re most commonly done by cutting into the thin bone that runs straight down the center of the rib and then marinating it overnight in a sweet soy marinade. This meat is beef, rather than pork.

Short ribs are generally very short, approximately 2-4 inches.
