How to Bake Oatmeal Wafers
To make these baked oatmeal wafers, you will need rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, margarine, and maple syrup. The combination of these ingredients creates a perfect balance of flavors and textures. Start by preheating your oven to the recommended temperature. In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix well to ensure that all the ingredients are evenly distributed. Next, add the margarine and maple syrup to the dry mixture.
Use your hands or a fork to incorporate the wet ingredients into the dry mixture until a dough-like consistency is formed. Once the dough is ready, roll it out onto a lightly floured surface. Use a rolling pin to flatten the dough to your desired thickness.
Then, use a cookie cutter to cut out wafers in your preferred shape. Place the wafers onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for the recommended time or until the wafers are golden brown and crispy. Once baked, allow the wafers to cool completely before serving.
This dessert can be enjoyed on its own or paired with your favorite ice cream or yogurt for a delightful dessert experience.
