Baked oatmeal wafers. Delicious dessert baked in a convention oven. Very simple and easy!!!! You may also like Baked Crab-Stuffed Mushrooms, another tasty recipe cooked in an oven.
Baked Oatmeal Wafers
Ingredients
- 1½ cups(375g) rolled oats
- 1/2 cup(125 g) sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup(65g) brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup(125 g) unsalted margarine
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375º F (180º C).
Step 2
Lightly grease 2 baking sheets with nonstick cooking spray.
Step 3
In a medium-size mixing bowl, combine the oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt. Mix well and set aside.
Step 4
In small nonstick skillet, melt the margarine over medium heat.
Step 5
Add melted margarine and maple syrup to the dry ingredients and mix well.
Step 6
Drop the dough by teaspoonfuls onto baking sheets, spacing the wafers about 2-inches(5 cm) apart.
Step 7
Bake for 8 minutes or until lightly browned.
Step 8
Remove baked oatmeal wafers from the oven and let them firm up on the baking sheets for 2-3 minutes.
