Lemon-Basil Jalapeno Tequila Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 1 handful mint leaves
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 wedge of lime
  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) lemonade
  • 1 oz (30 ml) light rum
  • 2 tablespoons fresh blueberries
  • splash of soda
  • 1/2 oz (15 ml) dark rum
  • sprig of mint, for garnish
  • slice of lime, for garnish

Method

Step 1

In a highball filled with crushed ice, combine mint leaves and sugar. Mix well.

Step 2

Squeeze juice of 1/4 lime wedge into the glass. Mush ingredients with the back of a wooden spoon until the mixture is fragrant.

Step 3

Add 1/2 cup of lemonade. Add a splash of soda, then add light rum and blueberries. Stir well

Step 4

Slowly pour dark rum. Garnish with mint leaves and lime.
