Double chocolate cookies. Chocolate cookies baked in halogen (turbo) oven.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz (60 g) semisweet chocolate,thinly chopped
  • 2 oz (60 g) white chocolate,thinly chopped
  • 2 oz (60 g) superfine sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter,softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats

Method

Step 1

Lightly grease 2-3 baking trays with cooking spray. Place the low grilling rack in turbo oven.

Step 2

Combine the sugar and butter in mixing bowl and beat until smooth. Add the vanilla extract, milk and egg yolk and mix well.

Step 3

Combine baking powder and all-purpose flour and mix into the creamed mixture with oats and chocolate. Set turbo oven temperature to 325°F (160°C).

Step 4

Spoon large teaspoons of mixture into rounds of prepared baking trays(4-6 per tray) and flatten slightly. Bake one tray at a time for 7-12 minutes, until golden and risen. Remove double chocolate cookies from the turbo oven and leave to cool for 5 minutes on the baking tray. Cook the second tray of double chocolate cookies.
