Marinated tuna sashimi. Raw tuna marinated in wasabi and soy sauce mixture. Very popular and tasty Japanese appetizer. You may also like Spaghetti with Tuna and Anchovy
Marinated Tuna Sashimi
Ingredients
- 14 oz (420 g) sashimi-grade tuna, trimmed
- 3 tablespoons wasabi paste
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- lemon slices
Method
Step 1
Using a wet, very sharp knife, slice trimmed tuna into 1/2-inch (1.25 cm) thick slices (cut across the grain). Wipe the knife on a damp cloth between each cut.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, combine the wasabi and soy sauce. Mix well and add the sliced tuna. Turn tuna slices to coat. Set aside and let marinade for 5 minutes.
Step 3
Arrange marinated tuna sashimi on 4 serving plates. Garnish with lemon slices.
