Pressure cooker coca cola chicken wings.This recipe belongs to Chinese cuisine.Chicken wings with coca cola,wine and soy sauce cooked in pressure cooker.Super easy and simple! Adapted from http://peggyunderpressure.com

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds (1.44 kg) chicken wings,separated
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Chinese cooking wine
  • 2 cups (500 ml) coca cola
  • 2 tablespoons chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • salt and 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Method

Step 1

Season chicken wings with salt and 1 tablespoon black pepper.

Step 2

In a mixing bowl,combine remaining ingredients. Mix well.

Step 3

Place seasoned chicken wings and soy mixture in a pressure cooker. Close pressure cooker and adjust the pressure valve to Airtight. Program your pressure cooker for 15 minutes.

Step 4

Open pressure cooker and,using a tongs,remove cooked chicken wings,reserving cooking liquid Set aside. Ladle out about half of cooking liquid and discard. Press start button on pressure machine to start heating process.

Step 5

To thicken the sauce,add 2 tablespoons butter and 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour. Mix it thoroughly and let it reduce down and thicken to where the sauce will coat a spoon and not drip off immediately. It takes approximately 10-minutes.

Step 6

Once the sauce is thick enough , return cooked chicken wings back into the pot and mix it so it gets a nice sauce bath. Remove from pressure cooker and serve immediately.
