Ingredients

  • 1 pound (480 g) pork ribs, cut into individual ribs
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) Hoisin sauce
  • 1 oz (30 ml) rice wine
  • 1 oz (30 g) honey
  • 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Chinese 5 spice
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 oz (30 g) ginger
  • 1 medium yellow onion, peeled

Method

Step 1

In a blender, combine the onion, garlic, and ginger. Blend well, then transfer the mixture into a slow cooker.

Step 2

Add the remaining ingredients, except ribs, and stir well to combine. Add the ribs to the sauce and mix well.

Step 3

Close the pot and cook on a low-heat setting for 7-8 hours.

Step 4
