Slow cooker jacket potatoes, it’s a winter’s day in a pot. Forget the greasy takeaway, forget the bother of mashing and baking. The slow cooker does all the work for you.

What is a Jacket Potato?

A jacket potato is a type of baked potato that is cooked in a slow cooker. This method of cooking potatoes is popular in the UK, Ireland, and New Zealand.

Why is a Jacket Potato Recipe so Good?

Slow cookers are the perfect way to cook potatoes. The heat is gentle, and you can leave them cooking all day.

Baked potatoes are a healthy option that doesn’t take long to make at all. They can be cooked in the oven or in the microwave, but they taste best when they’re baked on a baking sheet with olive oil, salt, pepper, and rosemary.

What Should I Add To My Jacket Potatoes?

Most people put cheese on top of their jackets and potatoes. However, you can also put cheese inside the slow cooker jacket potatoes.

Cheese is not the only ingredient that you can add to your jacket’s potatoes. You can also add vegetables, ham, bacon, or even ground beef.

Variations Of Jackets Potatoes You Can Try

If you love mashed potatoes, butternut squash is a great option. It has a similar texture to regular potatoes and tastes delicious when mashed.

The best thing about these crockpot recipes is that you can switch up the ingredients and make them your own. For example, if you don’t like sour cream or chives, use some cheese instead!
